A group of data center supporters is asking a Twin Cities environmental group to get out of Pine Island’s business.
A letter sent to the Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy — the St. Paul-based group that is suing both the city of Pine Island and developer Ryan Companies, LLC, over the proposed data center in Pine Island — “respectfully request that you drop the lawsuit so that partnerships between Pine Island, Google and Ryan Companies can move forward.”
The letter, addressed to MCEA Executive Director Kathryn Hoffman, has been signed by 183 “residents, business leaders and educators” from Pine Island.
