Charter Communications expands in Rochester

Minneapolis St Paul Business Journal reports…

The Post-Bulletin reports that Stamford, Conn.-based Charter, which employs 800 people in the Rochester area, will move into the two 40,000-square-foot buildings by January. The buildings will house Charter’s warehouse functions and a business-to-business services group.

Charter, which also sells Internet and voice service, has been growing in the city; it employed about 600 people in 2008.

Great to see growth in a rural-ish area. And fun to see the impact of telecommunications on the local economy.
