Introducing Two Online Government Tools

This is a good week for online tools; I just read about two:

DigitalLiteracy.gov – a National collection of digital literacy lesson plans, tools, case studies and a forum. Got a lesson plan to share? Post it here. Need a lesson plan? Check out their collection.

OpenData – a collection of Minnesota government datasets. The information is available in raw datasets, which is an opportunity for the private sector to create a way to use the information. In some cases the information is available in formats that are also available to end users. One example is the 511 travel info, which gives real time traffic information. And if you want to get a glimpse of the difference between low and high bandwidth see which tools are available to low bandwidth users and high bandwidth users.
