Update: Hold the presses, the meeting is being rescheduled. More info as soon as I get it. Thx!
The Blandin Foundation is hosting a Broadband Breakfast Friday, March 4, 2011 from 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM at the Kelly Inn in St Paul.
Rural Minnesota is at a digital crossroads.
$242 million in federal ARRA funds is infusing project areas around the state with much needed upgrades to the availability and quality of broadband services. Still, thousands of Minnesotans will lack access to broadband that meets state goals while others will continue to lack any access to broadband at all. Dramatic change in leadership at the state capitol provides an opportunity to examine the State of Minnesota’s approach to meeting the goals recommended by the Minnesota Ultra High-Speed Broadband Task Force and incorporated into statute during the 2010 session.
This is an opportunity to for state legislators to meet members of the Blandin Broadband Strategy Board and the Minnesota Intelligent Rural Community (MIRC) Coalition to listen to their best thinking about the State’s leadership role and the road ahead.
Please RSVP online.
