Senator Aric Putnam received Ag Award from Minnesota Farmers Union in part for broadband work

KNSI (St Cloud) reports

Senator Aric Putnam received the 2023 Service to Agriculture Award from the Minnesota Farmers Union. The organization highlighted Putnam’s work as the agricultural committee chair for holding 40 farm listening sessions.

The MFU says Putnam’s dedication helped establish a grain indemnity fund to protect farmers in the event of an elevator failure, expanded farm-to-school programs, funded rural broadband and started a new green fertilizer production incentive.
