From Fiber Minnesota…
Fiber Minnesota, LLC, a premier Minnesota-based fiber-optic transport carrier, is excited to announce the recent promotion of Dean Bahls to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO). With the company’s unwavering commitment to expanding Minnesota’s largest statewide transport network, several strategic promotions mark the next phase of Fiber Minnesota’s growth and development.
Dean Bahls, who has demonstrated exceptional leadership as Network Manager, has been instrumental in driving Fiber Minnesota’s substantial growth since its inception. This growth has been achieved through a combination of organic expansion and the successful integration of the original CNS Transport Network with West Central Transport Group in 2020, and then the merger with both the Broadband Visions network and the SM Broadband network in 2021, resulting in the Fiber Minnesota network of today.
In his new role as COO, Bahls will be dedicated to Fiber Minnesota’s strategic vision and overseeing its successful implementation as the fiber optic transport industry continues to evolve.
In addition to Dean Bahls’ promotion, Andrew Lambertson has also been elevated from Network Engineer to Network Manager, where he will take charge of the day-to-day network operations and lead network upgrades.
Filling the role left by Lambertson is Jacob Veldhouse, a recent addition to the Fiber Minnesota team, who joins as Network Engineer.
Jason Dale, CEO of Fiber Minnesota, will continue in his current capacity. Speaking about these recent developments, Dale expressed his gratitude and recognition of the efforts that have gone into growing the network, setting the stage for further expansion. He stated, “I first would like to congratulate Dean and his team for all of the successes in the past few years. Along with the Fiber Minnesota Board and its owners, I recognize and appreciate the considerable efforts that have gone into growing the network into what it is today. These efforts have paved the way for increased growth for the future as we realize the full potential of the statewide network.”
“Over the last few years, the FM operations team has done a fantastic job integrating and merging several transport networks within Minnesota,” Fiber Minnesota Board President Kevin Beyer said. “We truly have a seamless statewide network that’s ready for the next phase of growth, and we believe we now have the right people in the right places to make that happen.”
Fiber Minnesota will continue its ongoing partnership with 702 Communications, marketing using the Aurora Fiber Optic Networks brand (aurorafonet.com) and, through this partnership, will remain an integral part of the INDATEL nationwide “network of networks.”
To support its growing operations, Fiber Minnesota is actively seeking an additional Network Engineer to assist with day-to-day network operations. This position is currently open to applicants.
