Brown County legislators look at issues, including funding for broadband grants

The New Ulm Journal reports..

Minnesota Rep. Paul Torkelson, R-Hanska, and Sen. Gary Dahms, R-Redwood Falls, have been asked to share their perspectives on the upcoming legislative session with Brown County Commissioners on Tuesday, Dec. 1.

The discussion on the legislative session that begins Jan. 5, is scheduled to begin at about 4:45 p.m. Dec. 1 in the Law Enforcement Training Center (LEC) training room.

Priorities to be voted on by the Association of Minnesota Counties (AMC) on Dec. 7 and made public shortly thereafter will come from this list:

One item relates to broadband…

Equity in broadband infrastructure in Minnesota including legislation providing additional funding for the Border to Border Broadband Development Grant Program.
