Senator Draheim talks about Broadband policy – more money for unserved, looking at truth in speeds

Senator Draheim spoke on several issue on KEYC TV last week.

He celebrates several bipartisan bills including broadband. He’s been involved in multiple bills over the years and notes that lots of resources go into broadband, but we need better broadband in so kids can do homework, people can access mental health and economic benefits.

He talks about the 2022 speed goals AND the 2026 and recognizes that the rural areas are only 68 percent toward that 2026 goals. H says we need to continue the good work.

He also mentions a bill to help people figure out if they are really getting the speeds they pay for.

You can see the video of the interview; broadband starts about three minutes into the seven minute video.
