Technology discussions in the MN State House

As I’m preparing to collect news from the blog for March, I thought I’d do a quick look at what folks are talking about in the House that might have a connection to broadband. Some topics will be of greater interest to some than others. And the order is reverse chronological by last action reported on the website…

March 28 –

HF2504 – Broadband grant award priorities modified, and money transferred.

March 23 –

HF0881 – School district telecommunications full funding provided, program renamed K-12 broadband equity aid program, and money appropriated.

HF0739 – Small wireless facility collocation provided.

March 20 –

HF2449 – Federal E-rate program for broadband in schools state-level funding match provided, and money appropriated.

HF1618 – Broadband grant money transferred.

March 16 –

HF0208 – Commercial and industrial operations on agricultural preserves provisions modified, and early termination of an agricultural preserve provided.

March 7 –

HF1896 – Legislative Commission on Cyber Security established, and legislative appointments provided.

March 2 –

HF1665 – Voice over Internet protocol service and Internet protocol enabled service regulation prohibited.

Feb 27 –

HF1250 – Telecommunications equipment exemption expanded.

Feb 20 –

HF1344 – Alternative website publication provided.

Feb 15 –

HF0841 – Broadband grant program funding provided, and money appropriated.

HF0529 – Interactive video for targeted case management allowed.

Jan 26 –

HF0459 – Citizens’ right to be secure from unreasonable searches and seizures of electronic communications and data provided, and constitutional amendment proposed.
