Gentilly area (in Crookston County) to get Border to Border broadband funding

According to the Grand Forks Herald

Halstad Telephone Co. has been awarded a $424,460 grant to expand its broadband data service in Gentilly Township, located east of Crookston.

The grant is one of 15 awards totaling $11 million recently awarded by the Minnesota Department of Economic Development.

HTC, based in Halstad, Minn., will expand broadband Internet service to 114 households and 20 businesses in the Polk County township.

The total project cost is about $931,000. HTC will provide the rest of the investment.
