I’ve always thought that one good way to reach non-broadband-adopters would be to create a line item budget that would explain how much money you could save having broadband. So, I was pleased to see that the Internet Innovation Alliance has created a tool that walks a business through the saving. Unfortunately it was a little large for me to download (on the U of M guest wireless) so I’ll at least outline the types of savings they address. The tool will walk you through more details:
- Online accounting services – potential annual saving $1,833.70
- Online marketing materials – potential annual saving $378.07
- VoIP for Phone – potential annual saving $432
- Website design – potential annual saving $2,098.20
- Mobile apps – potential annual saving $3,502.72
- Specialty logo service – potential annual saving $458
- Home office – potential annual saving $6,180
- Incorporating online – potential annual saving $296
- Video Conferencing – potential annual saving $1,023.12
- Read News Online – potential annual saving $348.71
