Verizon Spent $96 million in MN in 2007

A quick note from today’s Minneapolis Star Tribune:

Verizon Wireless, Basking Ridge, N.J., invested nearly $96.5 million in 2007 to enhance its network in Minnesota. The improvements included building new and upgrading existing cell sites, expanding the high-speed wireless broadband network to new markets and improving existing wireless broadband network speeds.

  1. Wouldn’t that be nice? I haven’t seen anything that would lead me to believe it though – in fact most of what I’ve seen leans in the opposite direction. Sorry!

  2. Thanks to Nicole in Kandiyohi for senidng me a note on how some of the investment is being spent:

It was recently reported that Verizon wireless towers are being installed in the northwest corner of Kandiyohi County to offer improved service to a larger area. This is great news for many of our residents!
