Thanks for broadband – from all around Minnesota

Here’s a compilation of videos of folks giving thanks for broadband a few years ago. As you spend time with friends or family or enjoy some quiet time away from it all, think a little bit about what it would be like to not have the broadband you need for school, work, healthcare or keep you occupied while everyone else watches football.

Also, thanks to folks who send me updates and stories for the blog, invite me to meetings – and even those who send me corrections. I appreciate hearing from you. And thanks for just reading!

  1. Thank you, Ann. I remain one of your biggest fans and I kid you not — I read every blog you post! Most recently, I especially liked your driverless car story going from St Paul to Chicago. I also really appreciate your updates on big issues that can be so political, such as FCC dynamics, federal decisions on LTD and Starlink, and the work of OBD.

A while back, you did a county-by-county review of where OBD monies went for border-to- border. I think Waseca County was not captured completely correct. We were a real-life casualty of the LTD fiasco and were frozen in time as a result. However, working together with OBD, Bevcomm, and the Waseca community, we were so pleased to when we received Round 9 and Round 10 B2B Low density grants.

This chart above gives the correct details.

Keep up the great work, Ann. And know you are always welcome for a return visit to Waseca!

    Ignore the screen shot below!

    Warmest regards,

    Steve

  2. Steve,

Thanks so much for the kind words. I think we’ll have to touch base on Waseca funding. A next level of research would be – who would have invested but didn’t get the opportunity.
    Thanks! Ann
