From the Insitute for Local Self Reliance…
We’re excited to announce that ILSR’s Community Broadband Networks Initiative is looking to hire a Digital Equity Coordinator to help support our work promoting access to affordable high-quality broadband for all (with more of a focus on the systemic barriers that shape the digital divide). As we are doing more collaborative work with states, local communities, and ally orgs focused on solving these issues, this full-time position will primarily help coordinate efforts between stakeholders; work in collaboration with community groups, government agencies, and private sector partners; as well as help craft (and implement) community outreach and education initiatives related to digital equity.
It’s a job that is probably most ideally suited for someone who brings a bit of experience and passion to digital equity work; prefers remote work to a cubicle or office desk; is available to travel from time to time for in-person meetings and events; and generally loves working with community leaders, organizations, and public officials who actually want to get stuff done and meaningfully expand the infrastructure, tools, and digital skills people need to fully participate in our Internet connected world.
