Ramsey County Broadband Profile: current ranking 2

I am doing the annual look at broadband in each county – based on maps from the Office of Broadband Development and news gathered from the last year.

Ramsey County broadband ranking has gone from 1 to 2 but they still have almost ubiquitous access to 100/20 service. But they are looking for improvements. There was an application for state broadband funding from Ramsey County, although it was not awarded.

Info on Access:

Speeds % served 2017 % served 2018
25/3 99.75 99.84
100/20 99.39 99.82

The speeds reflect the Minnesota speed goals:

  • 25 Mbps down and 3 up by 2022
  • 100 Mbps down and 20 up by 2026

Current ranking for 100/20 access: 2

  • There is a matrix of Minnesota broadband adoption projects.
  • Districts: CD 4
    Senate: 38, 41, 42, 43, 53, 64, 65, 66, 67
    House: 38A, 41A, 41B, 42A, 42B, 43A, 43B, 53A, 64A, 64B, 65A, 65B, 66A, 66B, 67A, 67B
