LqP Fiber Project 69% done

Lac qui Parle County shares an update on their ARRA-funded fiber to the home project…

ACS has finished plowing in the Madison exchange this past week.  In fact, as of last week, ACS is roughly 69% completed with plowing of fiber. They have two exchanges down; two to go.  The two larger exchanges are completed.

This week ACS is in Dawson to continue splicing.  They are concentrating on the Dawson exchange and the two Madison routes that feed services to the Dawson exchange.

Power Product Services installed power and batteries in the new Madison office last week.  And plans are on target to start on the new building in Dawson.

This week, ACS has the plow a mile to the south, heading north toward the new Central Office site.

Nice to hear about working happening so late into the year. I’m sure they’re working to get things set before it gets too cold.
