OK this is a purely personal plea and post. Like an increasing number of people, I work from home. My kids have been home from school all week. So like many people this week, I have been going crazy. Today I am hanging out at The Blast in Eagan – picture McDonaldland without the burgers.
The good news is that I have 3 kids (ages 8,7, and 2) so they all play together. The better news is that I’m way too big for the playland so even if someone gets dissed by her sisters I still can’t play. So, I am working away in the corner and I only have to mitigate problems about every 15 minutes. The sad news (and here’s my plea) is that there is no Internet access at the Blast!
If there were WiFi I could really be cooking here. Eagan is heading up the new Broadband Policy bill at the State. Eagan is home to some amazingly high tech companies. While I’m the only one with a computer today – usually there are a few of us typing away. And there’s at least one other mom who appears to be sneaking in some outside work. So if you’re building a kids area or you have any pull in Eagan please remember that moms need WiFi too!
