The Broadband Infrastructure Program is a $288 million broadband deployment program directed to facilitate partnerships between a State, or one or more political subdivisions of a State, and a provider of fixed broadband service to support broadband infrastructure deployment to areas lacking broadband.

In their applications, which are currently undergoing review, applicants indicated their projects’ proposed service areas using census blocks.

To assist NTIA in targeting federal funds appropriately to areas lacking qualified broadband service, broadband service providers may voluntarily submit to NTIA information about the broadband services they offer in any of the proposed areas a covered partnership has designated for funding. Please see the Proposed Service Area Response Submission Guidelines for further detail. The Excel spreadsheet below contains a complete list of census blocks as provided by applicants.  The Excel spreadsheet contains the applicant name, proposed service areas, census blocks, and State or Territory associated with each application.

Here are the areas I found from Minnesota:

• Aitkin County Government
  ​The PSA will consist of three last mile project areas: passing 29, 469 and 336 unserved residents, that include businesses, and farms in rural Aitkin County for a total of 834 unserved residents. The proposed service areas are in Aitkin County, expanding over eight rural townships, including portions of Aitkin, Farm Island, Glen, Malmo, Nordland, Kimberly, Spencer, and Wealthwood Townships. The PSA’s will provide service to all or portions  of eighty-nine  census blocks located in Aitkin County, Minnesota. 100 percent of the population in the PSA will be served by the project and all will have access to 1 Gbps symmetrical FTTH  broadband.
• City of Corcoran (Hennepin County)
  [The project] will extend service to 496 unserved homes within the proposed service area, which will cover 100% of the unserved areas of Corcoran. This area is residential.
• County of Kandiyohi
  Townships of:
  Arctander
  Colfax
  Dovre
  Lake Andrew
  Mamre
  Norway Lake
  St. Johns
• Eureka Township (Dakota County)
  ​Our proposed project area only includes census blocks on the western side of Eureka Township.

Service providers that already serve census blocks for which applicants are requesting [BIP] funding have until October 19 to submit details.
