I remember last spring thinking that while the stimulus funds were very welcome that the slowness getting the RFP together was really not very stimulating. It was slowing things down!
Well I think the slow pace is getting us down again. I’ve read two article this week on projects that seem to be in limbo due to slow reponse on RFP applications:
The Lake County News-Chronicle reports that – “The Lake County broadband project is still on hold as the county waits for its application with the Rural Utilities Service to get approved.”
The Daily Globe reports that – “A broadband stimulus fund application submitted by the city of Windom is still under review by federal committees, but a decision is now expected in early November.”
It’s a sign of something when the newspaper are reporting that there’s no news to report.
